Changes on the Horizon

And they are exciting...we have put our house on the market and will be moving  back to New Orleans.  It's time to get back to where we are closer to family and we are looking forward to this move.

So the next few weeks include lots of work....selling this house ...lots of work and not so much fun;  and finding a new house... definitely lots of fun.

And lots of quilting too in between showings to help keep my sanity :)

  1. Wow! What a big change! It will be fun to follow your move from the comfort of your blog, and that way I'll get out of any heavy lifting.

  6. how cool is that! i love moving. LOL in fact, i am in the process of negotiating a deal on a fixer-upper in Illinois. it will be my retirement retirement house. when we can't handle the 40 acres any more we will retire back to the city and live near my sister. then we will have two houses to renovate...mine and hers.

Will you be able to take your boat as I know you both enjoy sailing?

  10. Hi Deb,
I'm about 30 miles from New Orleans and about 35 miles from Baton Rouge--smack in the middle and 3 miles from I-10/I-55 interchange. Glad to hear about your move, but I don't envy you. Good luck with selling / buying and Merry Christmas
