But in between playing with kitties I have managed to get a little work done. I needed a new quilt for the guest beds...all of them. I'm working on one right now...the others will come later.
This is for our downstairs guest suite. The walls will eventually be a light , cool grey. I have my red, black and white quilt hung in here and we have other black/white/grey artwork for this room. So I needed a quilt to tie it all together...something simple and graphic, yet that would bring the pop of heat to all that cool neutrality. This is what I came up with.
and there will be lots of leaves too...I threw a couple down to give you the idea.
I think I'll be ready to load it for quilting in a day or two, so I can get started between the thunderstorms.
And I even re-covered my ironing board...boy was that overdue!
And for those who tune in for the kitties....
Have a great night and stay cool!
No worries with staying cool where I am right now... Your current project is looking intersting. I like the background fabric.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I love that quilt. I'm looking forward to seeing your quilting on it.
ReplyDeleteWe're having trouble with the heat here too. It's running about 90 for a high and we're having a geothermal system put in. So we're without AC for a few days while it's being installed.
That's a very cute bed quilt! Love the kitty photo on the steps.
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a very cool quilt! A room in gray, red, white and black? That's MY room!
