I Had Some Questions...

About how the mini bolts would make things easier and neater.  I think the confusion comes from the way I photographed them yesterday. They will be stored  standing up like this

Make more sense now? And just because the colors are so pretty, here's more

These are a small sampling of my collection of Vicki's fabrics.  Don't you want some of your own?? Head over to her shop, just don't drool on the fabrics!

  1. I do much the same thing, only I call them "books" instead of mini-bolts. I don't use the center board core because I'm just too cheap to buy them. :-) BUT, I do fold them in much the same way. I store them "spine" up in a translucent box so when I remove the cover, I can see what the fabric is. The cover keeps the dust off. I have a webpage that shows how I do this at http://pir8.freeservers.com/quilting/Stash-Folding/index.htm

  3. It's kind of exciting to think about how you'll set up your new studio isn't it? I've folded mine with a ruler and made them all nice and neat but of course when you start pulling a bunch of them for a quilt, they don't stay nice for long. I do think on whoever is better than in drawers although I do have drawers fro smaller pieces.
