One Done, One Started

The Mariners compass mosaic is done...grout and all.  I'm really pleased with the way it looks. Not bad for a first attempt at mosaic art :)



And I have gotten a good start on the kitchen backsplash.  Again, this is my first attempt at tile work.



And I think it's looking pretty awesome, even if I do say so myself!

    I think they look GREAT! Any suggestions on the back splash? I'm contemplating doing ours after the holidays...I have never done a tile project either, but I"m thinking I"m pretty picky about my quilting, so I could be just as picky about tiles! Did you have to learn to cut them? Inquiring minds want to know! lolol

    Love both your tile projects. Such a sense of style. I've done kitchen backsplash but not mosaic. How did you do that?
