Don't know what the heck is wrong with the router. I did all the troubleshooting...spent hours on the phone with Linksys and tried everything...it says there is a signal, but All of the computers in the house say there is not.
Finally, out of desperation, we called comcast and scheduled them to come out and set up their wireless network. They can't come until Thursday, so no wireless till then. But at least a solution is in the works. I'm just tired of fooling with it.
So, now it's 2pm, and I've yet to turn on the gammill. Well I do, and while I'm running the programed warmup, I noticed excess oil dripping from the bobbin area and I grab a cloth to wipe it up....do you know where this is going? (Hint, the machine is running)
Yep, the spinning hook grabbed that cloth and of course locked up tight. Can you say STOOPID? duh. I turn the motor off, take the throat plate off, and very gently rotate the hook by hand to get to cloth unwrapped. Every thing seems fine, so I resume my warmup.
After I get it all threaded and go to check my tension, etc... It won't pick up the bobbin thread...no matter what I do. $%#^&.
So I take the throat plate off again, inspect the hook very carefully, hoping I didn't damage it. I can't see any damage, but as I'm rotating the hook by hand, I notice it dosen't line up right with the needle.
Okay, so I re-time and now everything is working perfectly. WHEW!
But it is now 5pm. So I decide to start my background fill...I'm really getting short on time. I got a little done, but then decided to just quilt for the day...I'm so frustrated by now I'm afraid I'll do something else stupid and get even further behind.
Better to wait and start out fresh in the morning. But here is the little bit I did get done.
Not too bad, considering the day. Tomorrow will be a better , and I will get this done and shipped on time!
It's very important that you step away, fix a few drinks and start work fresh tomorrow morning. Some days are just not meant to be!
ReplyDeleteOH man. Ditto what Vicki said. Better luck tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a day you've had. It's looking so good. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWoo-boy!.....I did that once with a piece of batting I was holding to catch drips...Gaaaaaah! Thankfully, once I removed the batting I did not have to re-time or anything. Some days it isn't worth chewing through the restraints!
ReplyDeleteYep there are definitely days that we're just not meant to quilt. Too bad about the trouble with your wireless network. I'm tempted to ditch comcast but don't want to go through the trouble of setting up another network. I need to replace the desktop soon, maybe I'll do it then.
